Biography
From Angola to the World
Born in Luanda, Angola, DJ Ketchup Afro immersed himself in African music from an early age. He began his journey through Kuduro, a genre in which he gained international recognition, and evolved into an innovative musical approach that fuses traditional African elements with contemporary influences. Since 2005, under the direction of Joyssy Gomes and through the agency DA BANDA, he has built a solid career as a DJ and producer, bringing the sounds of Africa to the world.

In 2024 and 2025, he was invited to perform as a DJ at Viva Technology, one of the world’s leading innovation events held in Paris. His participation was supported and broadcast live by FG Radio, which sets up a mobile booth on-site, bringing electronic music to the heart of global tech innovation.
Since moving to Paris in 2019, he has founded his own recording studio and performed at iconic venues such as:
Le Mazette, Cabaret Sauvage, and La Bellevilloise.
Throughout his career, DJ Ketchup Afro has performed in countries including:
Angola, South Africa, Cape Verde, Brazil, the United States (Los Angeles), Portugal, Spain, France, and United Kingdom (London) — connecting cultures and rhythms across four continents: Africa, South America, North America, and Europe.
